We have been running Regency Hotel for only a month, but we had 3 instances of rain leak already. Room 5 and Room 8 were seriously affected.
The downpipe were found blocked when very time leak happened. We unblocked downpipe with a drain unblocker 25 ft by just letting the water go. We worried the blockage happens so often, so we decided to buy a professional drain rod set and resolve the blockage for long term.
Today we had our handyman on the roof and he immediately felt a can inside the downpipe when rod was hitting it. As the downpipe was not straight, it took him almost an hour to pick the can out. Yes, with the help of rod.
The can must have been there before we moved in. We are very glad to unblock downpipe. Now we can sit back and relax when heavy rain comes.
